COORDINATING COMMITTEE

The ENYA network and programmes are implemented by the Coordinating Committee, the Co-coordinators and the staff team. Members of the Coordinating Committee serve for a two year term and can be re-elected or appointed.

The members are all key young ecumenists or civil society activists working on local and national levels. They bring in great expertise and host, facilitate and resource the programmes and projects of ENYA.

CO-CHAIRPERSONS





Jana Krajciríková was born in 1973. She am married and has two lovely children - Lucinka was born in 2002 and Ferdik in 2006. She studied law in the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, where they are living now.

She is a member of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church and has worked in the Church since 1996. First she worked as a Diocese Council secretary in the Prague Diocese Council. Than she moved to the National Church Council office - first to the ecumenical department and later on to the department of publication. She the editor in chief of a Christian magazine for children called Cesta (Journey). She likes to work with children very much and has been organizing summer camps for them already for 15 years and occasionally leads Sunday School sessions in her parish.

Jana is a member of two ecumenical NGOs in the Czech Republic - the Ecumenical Academy Prague and the Ecumenical Network for Youth Action (ENYA). She participated in several events of ENYA almost since its origin. "I like to remember for example the Lydia project in 1998-1999, where I learned a lot of new things, or the International Youth Assembly in Prague in 2004." For several years before being elected as Co-coordinator Jana served several years as a Co-chairperson of ENYA.

Thanks to her experiences in ENYA, she could participated in the World Council of Churches General Assembly in Harare, Zimbabwe in 1998. There she was elected to both the Central and the Executive Committees of the WCC where she represented her church until 2004.

In 2006-2007, Jana worked in The ENYA “Youth at Risk” Project financed by the European Union. This project was designed to help young people disadvantaged in the labour market to improve their qualification and skills and to help them to find a job. Jana was an English teacher and helped with other things like the project proposal development and implementation, monitoring reports etc.

In 2008, she was elected as a Co-coordinator of ENYA.









Cath Moss lives and works in Prague, Czech Republic. She was born in Canada. She then moved to live in Switzerland, where she worked with the World Council of Churches - Youth Sub Unit.

The next stop on the journey was Northern Ireland and lived there during some of the worst periods of the conflict and violence. Being frustrated with being unemployed she co-founded a new Church related NGO called ACE VENTURES and was appointed the Co-director of a cross-community youth training for employment programme. During this time Cath also established two shelters and worked in them with youth at risk.

In 1987, Cath was elected General Secretary of the Ecumenical Youth Council in Europe (EYCE), the first women to be in the post. Then in 1992, she moved to the Czech Republic and began her employment with the Czechoslovak Hussite Church, as a Diaconial and Social Consultant. She was one of the main organisers of the Adelheid project for 7 years, where she facilitated training sessions on social justice issues, management and finance skills, fundraising and transformational women's rights and concerns, and was also a trainer for computer learning.

Cath co-founded ENYA in 1995, with Eva Mikulecká and a group of young people, mainly from Eastern and Central Europe. She enjoys doing the various ENYA responsibilities - programme development and implementation, training in seminars, networking and networlding (Facebook!!), fundraising, and designing web sites.

Cath served on the ECPAT (End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography, Child Trafficking, of Children for Sexual Purposes) International Board from 2002-2008, as the Regional Representative of Eastern Europe. She headed the Legal and Constitutional Committee and served on various others.

Cath has visited over 88 countries.



CO-CHAIRPERSONS





Giorgi Agladze is from the Orthodox Church in Georgia. He just completed a year of studies in a master's programme in Hague University based 1/2 year in Netherlands and 1/2 year in Cambridge, England. He has been involved in ENYA since 2004 when he joined us for the ENYA Ecumenical Youth Assembly. In 2006, he was the main coordinator and host manager of the ENYA Young Women’s Overcoming Violence Leadership and Empowerment Training seminar. He became Co-chairperson in 2007.





Ilona Lapkovskaya is from the Russian Orthodox Church. She is currently a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teacher in Moscow, Russian Federation. Previously she worked in the Department of External Church Relations of the Russian Orthodox Church. Ilona's first contact with ENYA was in 1999-2000 when she joined the Adelheid Project (knowing very little English!). She studying diligently and in 2004 resourced the Roma seminar in Malta as an English Teacher! Also in 2004, Ilona became Co-chairperson of ENYA and was one of the two Co-coordinators of the ENYA Ecumenical Youth Assembly.

CO-TREASURERS




Ira Kuzymchak is from the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church. She works in Lviv in economics and management. Ira has been involved with ENYA since 1997 when her first action was being part of the planning committee and hosting of the ENYA seminar in Ukraine called Developing Partnerships with Young People at Risk - "Open Secrets - Speaking Out - Fighting Back". She has attended many of the seminars over the years as participant and resource person. She took on the task as Co-Treasurer in 2004.





Jana Klepkova is from the Czechoslovak Hussite Church in the Czech Republic. She has a degree in theology and is currently living in Luxembourg where she is working with a EU/Czech company. Jana has been involved with ENYA since 1997. She was our first intern, she helped us to get off the ground and later became full time staff though still not paid very much. For 8 years she helped to implement and resource many ENYA seminars, and was especially active in our Roma Programmes. In 2004, Jana along with Ilona
co-coordinated the ENYA Ecumenical Youth Assembly. She finished working full time for ENYA in 2006 when she moved to Luxembourg. Jana became Co-Treasurer in 2007.

COORDINATING TEAM MEMBERS




Vardine Grigoryan is from Vanadzor, Armenia and a member of Christian Apostolic Church. She is in her last year at Vanadzor State Teacher's Training Institute, in the English department. She also have the qualifications of a technical-manager. In 2005-2006 she was on a study abroad program in Williams College, MA, USA, sponsored by the US Department of State and administered by IREX. She studied sociology there. She volunteered in the First Congregational Church in North Adams, MA for the Berkshire Food Project. I also volunteered for the Katrina Relief Project in Mississippi and Louisiana, USA, after the hurricane. Other than volunteer work, I was an intern at Berkshire Farm Centre and Services for Youth - a special school and alternative to prison for youth in conflict with the law or kids with disadvantaged background.

In Armenia, Vardine is involved in Capacity and Development for Civil Society NGO. Last year they organized the first International Outreach Camp Armenia 2007. I was one of the interviewers for local participants during the preparation and during the actual camp she was a team leader and counsellor (co-teacher) teaching civic leadership. Now they are organizing different exchange projects, local and international activities aimed at the development of civil society.
Vardine was in an ecological exchange in Poland in September and is also a member of a conflict resolution team which is trying to work on peace-building with Azerbaijan. Vardine joined the Coordinating Committee in 2007 after the seminar on Overcoming Violence Against Young Women which took place in Armenia.





Hristina Hristova is from the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and a co-founder of the Bulgarian Ecumenical Network (BEN). She has degree in Orthodox Theology from the University in Sofia. She is currently living in the United States and working in retail business. Hristina first became involved with ENYA through the Adelheid Project in 1999-2000. She then joined the Coordinating Committee in 2002 and attended the Young Women's Leadership Training Course which was held in the Czech Republic. She has worked especially on the series of theological seminars which were held in Balaton, Hungary over a period of 3 years.




Lyubov Georgieva is also from the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and a co-founder of the Bulgarian Ecumenical Network (BEN). She has degree in Orthodox Theology. She also participated in social academy training project on the problems of youth. Lyubov also worked as a teacher with children from 4 years old. She is currently enjoying being a mother. She first became involved with ENYA whilst attending the series of theological seminars, followed by participating in the Young Women's Leadership Training Course in 2002 and then the Adelheid Project 2003 -2004. Lyubov joined the coordinating team in 2003. In 2004, she co-led the sizable Bulgarian delegation to the ENYA Ecumenical Youth Assembly.





Elena Zenkevitch is from the Belarus Orthodox Church and has worked as the Women's Coordinator of the Round Table of the Inter-Church Aid in Belarus. She is very involved in diaconial work and is the Coordinator of the Sisterhoods Union. She is an accomplished musician. Elena became involved with ENYA in 2001-2002 when she joined the Adelheid Project. She also led the Belarussian delegation to the ENYA Ecumenical Youth Assembly


Marianne Robinson is from Canada. She is currently both working and studying.




Zuzanna Plevova is from the Czech Republic and is the Director of ENYA's Lighthouse Youth Home - Majak. She has a degree in Social Work from Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. Zuzka became involved with ENYA in 2000 through the programmes with youth in institutional care and children's homes. She was leader of the younger girls for several years. From 2006 - 2007 she worked with the ENYA EU Project 'Youth at Risk - Unemployment Programme. She has also attended several ENYA seminars (Armenia, Macedonia, Serbia) both as a particpant and staff support person.





Vija Vanaga is from the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia (LELB). She has been a teacher in psychology. Then she moved to the Department of General Education in the Ministry of Education and Science. Vija is an accomplished organist. Her first involvement with ENYA was Participating in the Adelheid Project 2003-2004. She joined the Coordinating Committee in 2004.




Helen Gugushvili is from the Orthodox Church in Georgia. She was the first women from Georgia to participate in an Adelheid Project (2001-2002). Helen then joined us as the chaplain of the Young Women's Leadership Training Course in 2002. She was instrumental in organising the possibility to hold our first seminar in Georgia in 2006 - Women’s Overcoming Violence Leadership and Empowerment Training seminar.
