May 26, 2002 "Called to Compassion, Freedom and Justice - Young Women Shaping the Future of Europe" The selection process is almost finished for this training seminar and applicants will be informed within the next two weeks. We are now planning for our next seminar COMBAT SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF WOMEN, CHILDREN and YOUTH. This event has been rescheduled to take place in Prague from June 26, but a similar will take place in Tirana, Albania now in October. We invite you to visit the ECUMENICAL.ORG online portal. EUROPEAN YOUTH CITIZENSHIP: The selection of the participants from Romania, Czech republic, Greece and the Britain is now completed for the European Youth Citizenship Winter School, which will take place in Sinaia, Romania from January 13 - 19. We are grateful to the Black Sea University Inter cultural Centre for Continuing Education for all their preparation and organisation and the European Community for their financial support. The course will be facilitated by MITRE International Training Consultants (Britain). ENYA DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES: The final deadline for applications for the ENYA Diploma Programmes is quickly approached (December 31, 2001). Please send in your applications before the deadline. Email applications are acceptable as long as an original copy of the application is received before January 20th by post or fax. WOMEN-ONLINE: Women - Computer, Internet and New Technologies Training - Accelerating social and political progress by developing women's technological capacity. This course is within the framework of the Anke Projects (Accelerate Net Knowledge Enterprises) programmes. It is organised by the YWCA-CR in cooperation with the EFECW and ENYA. | COMMERCIAL SEXUAL EXPLOITATION of CHILDREN: DECEMBER 17-20, 2001 -- Yokohama, Japan Preparations are now under way for the ENYA exhibition and our participation in the 2nd World Congress against Commercial Sexual Exploitation, in Yokohama, Japan from December 17-21, 2001. Since the 1st World Congress against the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children in Stockholm in 1996, NGO's and governments have been working towards the eradication of the commercial sexual exploitation of children and youth.The Second World Congress has the following objectives: - Enhance political commitment to the implementation of the Agenda for Action adopted at the First World Congress; - Review progress in the implementation of the Agenda for Action; - Share expertise and good practices; - Identify main problem areas and/or gaps in the fight against commercial and other forms of sexual exploitation of children. |

| The Congress will further strengthen efforts by the international community through discussions on effective prevention, awareness, strategies; exploring through workshops, the lessons learned; evaluation of the progress to date including the programmes that have been implemented. ENYA will be represented in the Congress and a daily update of the proceedings and happenings, plus the concerns, perspectives and voices of young people around the world (more than 100 will attend the Congress and have their own pre-assembly) will be posted to this site.
